About palm kernel shell
Palm kernel shell (PKS) is the hard endocarp left after the kernel is removed during palm oil milling. It is a dense, free-flowing solid fuel with a high calorific value relative to most agricultural residues, which is why it is widely used for industrial steam raising and power-station co-firing.
Buyer requirements for PKS turn almost entirely on three parameters: moisture, ash and foreign matter. We qualify each enquiry against those parameters first, then map the request to mills and collectors able to meet it consistently rather than on a single lot.
Material is screened and, where the buyer's specification requires it, sun-dried or mechanically dried before loading. Achievable ranges depend on the source region, the season and the agreed price level — we set expectations on this before quoting.
