The whole transaction, stage by stage
Buyers new to sourcing from Indonesia usually want to know two things: what happens next, and who is responsible for it. This is the sequence we run, and where the handovers sit.

Enquiry and agreement

Enquiry
You send a requirement, or we work one up with you from a general need. A product name alone is not enough — we need the parameters that govern acceptance.

Qualification
We establish whether the specification, volume and timing are realistically sourceable from the Indonesian supply base, and tell you if they are not.
- 03
Quotation
A firm offer is issued against a defined specification, volume, packaging, Incoterm and destination, with a stated validity period.

Sampling
Samples are drawn from the intended supply and, where instructed, tested. You approve the sample against the specification in writing.

Contract
Specification, tolerances, consequence of deviation, inspection arrangements, documentation and delivery terms are agreed and documented.

Payment terms
Agreed at contract stage. Where a documentary credit is used, the exact document wording should be settled before the credit is issued, since banks check documents against the credit rather than goods against the contract.
Production and preparation

Procurement
Material is purchased, collected or produced against the agreed specification. Progress is reported at defined intervals rather than on request.

Quality checks
Pre-shipment sampling and checks against the agreed parameters, including weight and moisture verification, with records issued to you.

Packaging
Bagging, baling or bulk preparation to the agreed format, with marking applied to your requirement and verified before dispatch.
Logistics and shipment

Inland logistics
Transport from the production site or collection yard to the port, scheduled around the vessel or container booking.

Customs documentation
Export documentation prepared and lodged. The applicable set depends on commodity, origin and destination regulation.

Loading
Container stuffing or vessel loading supervised, with seal numbers recorded and photographic records taken during the process.

Shipment
Booking confirmed, vessel departure reported, and shipment progress communicated through to arrival.

Post-shipment documents
The document set is completed, checked for internal consistency, and released to you or to the bank in line with the agreed payment mechanism.

Where responsibility transfers
Selecting a term is a commercial decision about cost and control, not a formality. Compare a like-for-like landed figure before deciding.
- EXW
Ex Works
Collection from the nominated site by the buyer.
- FOB
Free On Board
Delivered and loaded at the nominated Indonesian port.
- CFR
Cost and Freight
Freight to the destination port arranged by us.
- CIF
Cost, Insurance and Freight
Freight and marine insurance arranged by us.
What we do not promise
- We do not guarantee customs clearance in any destination country. Import admissibility depends on the destination’s own regulation and on your broker’s declaration.
- We do not provide legal or tariff-classification advice. Classification rests with the importer and their customs broker.
- We do not act as the carrier, the inspection body or the certifying authority. Those roles sit with independent parties.
- We do not guarantee a specification before sampling and written approval.
